La Grande Chapelle élève le regard par la blancheur de ses murs. Grâce au chantier en cours (2009-2011), la Grande Chapelle du séminaire Saint-Sulpice jouit d'une cure de jouvence ! Les pierres de la façade retrouvent leur blancheur éclatante, les vitraux laissent à nouveau passer la lumière tout en bénéficiant d’une nouvelle technologie qui les protège des intempéries et des parasites.

Cette restauration fait suite à un premier chantier (2005-2007), au cours duquel le bâtiment principal a acquis une nouvelle jeunesse : maçons et couvreurs ont restauré la toiture, le clocheton, la façade et le cloître.

Un troisième chantier pourrait débuter prochainement pour la restauration intérieure de la Grande Chapelle et la restauration du grand vitrail de la façade.

Lift up your eyes towards the Grand Chapel

Thanks to the ongoing rehabilitation project (2009-2011), the Grand Chapel of the Saint-Sulpice seminary is enjoying a rejuvenation spell! Now again, the wall stones are dazzling white, the stained glass windows let the light go through while taking advantage of a new technology which protects them from bad weather and parasites.This project is following a first series of works (2005-2007) when the main building lost its old-age marks: masons and roofers restaured the roof, the pinnacle, the frontage and the ambulatory.

A third project could start soon to rehabilitate the interior of the Grand Chapel and to restore the large stained glass window on its front.
